London’s newest AND MOST EXCITING beer crawl of independent craft breweries and taprooms.

The Blackhorse Beer Mile is located in Walthamstow, E17 and is easily accessible from Central London. It’s just 12 minutes on the underground from Kings Cross to Blackhorse Road station.

You can easily walk the rote in a day, exploring a wide range of local breweries and even a winery! The Blackhorse Beer Mile includes: Hackney Brewery, Signature Brew, Exale Brewing, Big Penny Social, Beerblefish, WildCard Brewery & Renegade Urban Winery.

Start at Lockwood Way

We recommended starting at the Lockwood Way Estate (E17 5RB) and working your way through all the Taprooms to end up back at Blackhorse Road Underground Station.

From Blackhorse Road, jump on the 158 bus towards Chingford Mount for a short 7 minute ride to Clarence Road. From here you’ll see the sign for Lockwood Way Estate and the first three stops on the Blackhorse Beer Mile!

The estate also features some other great independent businesses like Wild Grains Bakery who make fantastic coffee and pastries, along with Retrospective Scooters who restore vintage Vespas and other scooters, even converting them into electric vehicles.

Renegade urban winery

The newest addition to the ‘Mile, Renegade has been making their delicious wine in E17 for a while but recently opened up the site as a bar with a lovely mezzanine overlooking the winery.
